This page explains what information EpicTale collects, how we use it, and how to reach us with privacy questions.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create books, characters, accounts, orders, or support requests. This can include names, story prompts, uploaded images, email addresses, checkout details, and messages you send to us.

How we use information

We use this information to create personalized storybooks, generate previews and artwork, process purchases, provide customer support, improve EpicTale, prevent misuse, and keep the service reliable.

Service providers

We may share information with trusted providers that help us run EpicTale, including hosting, authentication, analytics, payment, printing, shipping, support chat, and AI generation providers. They may only use the information as needed to provide services to us.

Privacy-masked session analytics

We may use Microsoft Clarity to understand navigation, clicks, scrolling, and technical problems. EpicTale masks the entire page before recording data is sent, including text, form values, uploaded photos, generated artwork, images, canvases, and media. The resulting replay contains a redacted page layout and interaction information rather than the private content you see or enter.

Advertising measurement

We may use Meta and TikTok pixels and server event integrations to measure visits, registration, checkout, and purchases, and to build or reach relevant advertising audiences. These integrations may share browser and click identifiers, page URLs, IP addresses, browser information, purchase amounts and currencies, and hashed email addresses and account identifiers. Our event payloads do not include story prompts, child names, uploaded photos, generated artwork, or payment card details.

Security for uploaded and generated assets

We take the security of uploaded photos, character images, story previews, artwork, and finished storybook assets seriously. These assets are treated as private by default and stored using access-controlled systems, so they are not publicly browsable. Access is limited to your account, the service processes needed to create or fulfill your book, trusted providers working on our behalf, and EpicTale support when needed to help with an issue.

Children and family content

EpicTale is designed for adults creating books for children. Please only upload or enter child information that you have permission to use. Do not submit sensitive information that is not needed to create the book.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve issues, and meet legal or operational requirements. Visit Support to request help accessing, updating, or deleting your information.
